Everything Is Gone - POP ETC
The band themselves needed something to look forward to after a devastating blow to themselves. A Band member leaves, what to do next? Make awesome indie pop music - that’ll be popular for years to come. Bands like Eiffel 65 and Duran Duran come to mind when listening to the new Pop Etc record (Morning Benders). For modern artists it’s always tough to come up with something new, but these guys managed to combine old techniques and make them new again. I give these guys 5 stars, because it takes a band who has the “balls” per - se to come up with albums like these in those situations. There effort shows - and I believe what they are aiming to achieve will come in time. Not necessarily right away but they will achieve it nonetheless. This album is a must for everyone’s record collection. It’s definitely a grower though.
